Position Overview

M&G Millwrights LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Laser Table Operator / CAD Programmer / Fabrication Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and can also handle technical office work when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and maintain a CNC laser cutting table
Create, edit, and nest parts using CAD/CAM software for laser cutting
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Perform light fabrication work, including fitting and welding, as required
Assist with quoting jobs, material takeoffs, and estimating in the office
Work with production and office staff to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

Minimum education level: High School/GED
College education is preferred, but expertise in the industry is prioritized
Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar)
Strong understanding of shop drawings, tolerances, and materials
Basic welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG experience a plus)
Ability to switch between shop floor work and office tasks
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Fluency in English
Preferred: Experience with quoting or estimating custom fabrication jobs
Preferred: Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
Preferred: Forklift or material handling experience

Fabrication Project Estimator

Position Overview

M&G Millwrights LLC is seeking a certified Fabrication Estimator to join our growing team. This role primarily focuses on assisting with the smooth execution of upcoming and ongoing projects while providing pricing and facilitating procurement. This position is the company’s central controller in the procurement of various materials, components, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Sources and obtains price quotations from catalogs and suppliers for all materials.
Helps manage all project files, invoices, POs, supplier acknowledgements, and other related communications for procurement.
Develop estimates for potential scope of work changes and bid to construction reviews
Develops and maintains a production schedule for all projects. Monitoring the flow and execution for all active projects.
Responsible to generate accurate quantity take-offs from project drawings, specifications, BOMs, etc.
Prepares and issues all purchase orders, countersigned by President or Operations Manager, from BOMs issued by Chief Engineer.
Reviews and clears payment for any supplier(s) invoices for submission to the Financial Controller.
Maintains inquiry logs and providing follow-up details in conjunction with both the Sales Manager and Operations Manager.
Establishes delivery schedules, checking-in with progress and contacting suppliers to resolve problems. This includes communicating and building relationships with vendors to ensure expected deliveries are within specific timeframes.
Can develop or can display comprehensive knowledge of general steel fabrication practices.
Maintains the database register for material procurement and create price book where possible.
Organizes and holds weekly production meetings – issuing weekly production sheets.
Understands and can operates software packages AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and CRM (Project) databases to assist in costing of Bid tender documents and Project work packages (preferred, can be trained)

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience in Custom Metal Fabrication.
Minimum education level: High School/GED
College education is preferred, but expertise in the industry is prioritized
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Fluency in English
Advanced computer literacy, with the willingness to learn software to complete tasks
Can communicate well with vendors and possibly negotiate contract terms and conditions for material procurement
Ability to forecast and solve problems
Knowledge of fabrication to make informed estimates based on the information provided
Understands Material Requirements Planning (MRP); experience with Infor Visual (MRP) is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) — capable of creating tools such as spreadsheets and Word documents to enhance production processes
Knowledge of Project Management software, e.g., Microsoft Projects
Experience with drafting software e.g., Solidworks or AutoCAD is preferred

Fitter & MIG Welder

Location: North Florida / Multiple Job Sites

Position Overview

M&G Millwrights LLC is seeking a certified Fitter & MIG Welder to join our growing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work across a variety of industrial projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on structural steel, stainless steel, and other materials
Experience with various tools (e.g. angle grinder, break press, or plate roller) required to layout, mark, cut, bend and roll, and weld any structural, plate, and light galvanized steel
Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols accurately
Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and equipment
Execute field welding work in industrial environments, including plant shutdowns and maintenance projects
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper operation
Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations
Occasionally operate a forklift and/or overhead crane to assist with moving materials within the workshop (training to be provided on both)

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience in welding. Ideally, five or more years of experience in similar role.
Valid AWS certification or willingness to be certified
Proven experience in industrial or structural welding
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience with stainless steel and process piping is an asset
Strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices
Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, climbing, confined spaces as needed)
Ability to work with a team or independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel to job sites as required
Fluency in English
